Notes

I.) All installation clearances are based on the components being dry. When reusing a SimsiteŽ
Wear Ring, allow the ring to dry for 24 hours before taking dry clearance measurements.

2.) When machining SimsiteŽ Rings, the minimum wall thickness is .187 inches.

3.) When installing set screws to secure SimsiteŽ Rings, the Casing Ring inner diameter should be checked for possible distortion after the set screws are installed. If the distortion is greater than .002 in. then a final machining cut must be taken to maintain the necessary operating clearance.

4.) The recommended maximum clearance before replacement should be used as a guide. Pump performance should be the final element in determining whether the parts are replaced.
