SIMSITE® Structural Composite Pumps and Pump Parts NEVER CORRODE in Salt Water, River Water, Sewage, Chlorinated Water and are good with most acid and alkaline solutions. SIMSITE® Products have a proven technology that will extend the life of any centrifugal pump. SIMSITE® Products will continue to operate long after metallic pumps and pump parts are in the scrap pile.

SIMSITE® Structural Composite Pumps and Pump Parts have an innate ability to tolerate Corrosion & Cavitation as well as erosion from Sand & Silt in Salt Water — Sims has a long track record of being highly successful in applications where corrosion and/or cavitation is present and SIMSITE® products have proven to be significantly more durable then bronze or stainless steel.

SIMSITE® products are superior in applications where the application is both corrosive and/or erosive. SIMSITE® products have many other advantages that when evaluated in total, makes them a significantly better choice for these applications than any other metal including Duplex Stainless and Titanium

SIMSITE® Pumps & Impellers are unique, because they are custom engineered for the Customer’s applications. Most other pump companies, offer only standard lines of pumps and therefore must force their Customers to accept the “closest” standard pump for their application requirements. Since SIMS machines their pumpson 5 to 8 axis machining centers instead of casting or molding them. SIMS can design their pumps SPECIFICALLY for the Customer’s operating performance, which results in much higher efficiencies and a much longer life for the pump.
SIMSITE® Impellers & Casing Rings are Light Weight, Energy Efficient, and extend the life of metallic casings because they are inert and do not support electrolysis or galvanic corrosion. Additionally, our SIMSITE® Impellers & Casing Rings are Perfectly Balanced, both hydraulically and mechanically, and remain that way for the LIFE of the Pump. The Perfect Balance and Light Weight means less Vibration, Shaft Deflection and therefore results in a much longer life for bearings, mechanical seals, rings and the entire rotating element.

SIMSITE® Pumps and SIMSITE® Pump Parts are 100% manufactured in the United States. They are completely machined from solid blocks of the patented SIMSITE® structural graphite composite. Therefore, SIMS Pumps are NOT subject to casting defects, or Corrosion Attack, and are much more accurate and Energy Efficient. Because SIMS PUMPS & Pump Products DO NOT CORRODE in SALT WATER, WASTE WATER, SEWAGE, or CHLORINATED WATER, they last many times the life of their metallic counterparts.

Simsite® Pumps & Impellers

  • Eliminate Corrosion and Electrolysis problems
  • Eliminate Cavitation problems
  • Increase Efficiency
  • Increase Longevity
  • Enhance the stability of the whole rotating element.
  • Have smoother more accurate vane surfaces because they are machined as opposed to being cast or molded.
  • Light weight.
  • More precise vane angles.
  • 100% repeatability and casting defects are eliminated.
  • Engineered or re-engineered for the system requirements — designed and manufactured to run at BEP (Best Efficiency Point) which substantially improves efficiency and operating costs.
  • Inherently balanced, both mechanically and hydraulically. And due to uniform material properties (vs. castings) the impellers stay in balance throughout their operating life.
  • Can be re-engineered to reduce the effects of cavitation.
  • Reduce Hydraulic Losses in the pump
  • Reduce Hydraulic Losses in the pump

Simsite® Products

  • Do not corrode in sea water – EVER! Therefore, the pump will continue to produce the required head and flow vs. a metallic pump which deteriorates from erosion and corrosion.
  • Non-galling and clearances tighten over time rather than open — this improves efficiency and performance over time vs. a metallic pump where efficiencies degrade over time.
  • Do not support electrolysis (galvanic corrosion).
  • Prevent pump “wash out.”
